Set Manus up safely for a production, give it multi-step film paperwork with a written brief and clear stops, and check what comes back before anyone treats it as the baseline.

What you will be able to do

  • Know when Manus fits the job: Weigh a production task against Manus's access, plan limits and credit use as of October 2026, and decide whether to hand it over, hand it over with stops, or keep it with a person. Check current prices on manus.im/pricing before you commit a budget.
  • Set up one safe Project per production: Create a Project with standing instructions and a do-not-upload list. Use read-only connectors where they work, turn off saved Cloud Browser logins, give reviewers Guest seats, and require approval before anything is sent, posted, booked, bought or submitted.
  • Write briefs that stop instead of guessing: Use Plan Mode to brief a long task. The brief names the current script revision, keeps explicit script facts apart from implied requirements, and pauses for the director, producer, script supervisor or department lead when a call is theirs.
  • Produce real first passes: Make scene breakdowns, schedule drafts for the 1st AD, blue-page change reports, location and permit research, festival and fund trackers, and a pitch deck with AI reference frames labeled as such.
  • Run a recurring check that only reports: Schedule a fortnightly festival-deadline review that lists only what changed, with Skip confirmations off, so nothing is submitted or published without you.
  • Check every output before it's used: Replay the session, ask for a source table, open each file, confirm whose face and voice appear, and catch invented availability, costs or safety instructions before anything is signed off.
