A hands-on course for CEOs and founders: a sourced morning brief, meeting prep, follow-up drafts, a decision log and a Friday review, on your own email and calendar, with your approval before anything leaves.

What you will be able to do

  • Write the job description your agent works from: Write and sign off standing instructions that cover its duties, your priorities and VIPs, the sources it may read, what it may prepare or propose, what only you approve, and a never list. You also keep a corrections log so it learns from each mistake you catch.
  • Pick a platform your plan, region and work account allow: Compare Claude Duet, an OpenAI dot, Claude or ChatGPT scheduled tasks, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini as of 28 October 2026, then choose a first choice and a generally available fallback. You also write a short request to IT or legal.
  • Connect the least access that works: Connect email, calendar and one shared logs folder read-only, and require approval for every send, calendar change and file share. Board data rooms, M&A material, compensation and HR files stay out, because connected apps feed the agent's memory.
  • Get a morning brief you can trust: Schedule a weekday brief and run meeting prep. Every item carries a source tag, the brief lists no more than five things that need you, inferences are marked, and it ends with a list of what it could not check.
  • Turn meetings into follow-through: Turn meeting notes into recap drafts and proposed rows for your decision log and delegation tracker. You confirm or reject each row. Nothing the agent proposes counts as a commitment, and 'done' claimed is kept separate from 'done' verified.
  • Run the Friday review and a scored two-week rollout: Review slipped commitments and the board-cycle countdown every Friday. Complete a two-week rollout scored on brief precision, missed urgent items, source coverage and safety events, and test it with a prompt-injection drill and a permission audit.
