A focused two-hour course for CEOs and managing directors: use AI to weigh a real opportunity against your team's delivery capacity, then make an explicit go, defer or stop decision.
What you will be able to do
- See what you have already promised: List your current commitments across strategy, resources and execution, each with its owner, deadline and dependency.
- Measure capacity in hours and budget, not impressions: Estimate what your key people can actually deliver over a stated period, after recurring work, and see who is already at or over capacity.
- Get a clear capacity-versus-opportunity view: Use AI to lay out demand against capacity for each key person and budget line, and show which existing commitments a new opportunity would push out.
- Put real options on the table: Write go, defer and stop options for an opportunity, each with its cost, conditions and follow-up date.
- Check the AI's work before you rely on it: Catch conflicting metrics, mixed period labels such as fiscal and calendar quarters, and unstated assumptions, and trace the key figures back to their sources.
- Keep confidential material out of the wrong tools: Recognize board, acquisition and employee details in your planning material and prepare a version that is safe to use with an AI tool your organization has approved.
